About Us
Jerry Harris
In 1978 I started working for a family dealership owned by the Yetter family. They dealt primarily with tournament fishermen and high-performance boats. I learned specialized methods of rigging and technical skills on outboard repairs and custom painting, recarpeting and everything in between. The most important things that I learned were good customer communication, quality workmanship and dependability.
From all of the knowledge acquired I decided in 1991 it was time for me to start my own family dealership. Focusing on the bass fisherman, we were a dealer for Ranger and Stratos Bass Boats, Mercury, Johnson, Evinrude,Yamaha, Nissan and Tohatsu Motor Lines. Our family dealership had something a little different, an in-house machine shop and rebuilding service, as well as a “Free Pick-up and Delivery” service for dealers and independent shop owners.
In 2002 we sold our Dealership, but retained the Rebuilding and Machine Shop service. After a much needed vacation we introduced Coastline Marine & Machine. Today we have dealers and independent shops sending us work from near and far. With my son Robert Harris by my side, we continue the main lesson that I learned when I first started working, which was good customer communication, quality workmanship and dependability!

All gear-cases are disassembled, the prop-shaft is checked for straightness, bearing and gears are checked for wear. We then call the customer with the estimate for reassembling and, of course all seals are replaced. It is then pressure checked and the shift rod height is set.
