At that point you would take the cover off, check for the loose connection, check the spark plugs, check the starter and still nothing.
They may have issues with their carburetors as well, if it is too lean, add some choke and it may run with enough fuel. When it comes to two stroke or four stroke engines it’s important to remember to use the correct type of oil for each type of engine. Outboard motors can be fickle, so it’s important to be detailed and specific when it comes to caring and maintaining your outboard engine.
